The ministries of the church define how we live life together and minister to others as a church family. Listed below is information about some of our primary ministries.
The heart of life together at Christus Victor is our Sunday morning worship. It is in worship that we hear God’s Word of hope proclaimed and we receive God’s grace through the sacraments of Holy Communion and baptism. Worship nourishes and strengthens us to serve God on the other six days of the week. We worship using a variety of liturgies and music styles. Our contemporary worship is the third Sunday of the month. There is a children’s sermon every Sunday during worship.Contact Valinda Vincent:
Music is an important part of worship. We have an adult choir that leads us in worship each Sunday. Other musicians, soloists and groups enhance our worship with their offerings of musical gifts. Robust congregational singing is also a big part of our worship together, and we encourage all voices and instruments to come “make a joyful noise”! Contact Bob Farmer
Christian Education
Sunday School
Sunday School. At Christus Victor, we are committed to passing on the faith to our youth in a meaningful and dynamic way. We call our Sunday school classes Jesus’ Journey as we relive familiar bible stories. Classes meet at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings. The Middle School age students are taught about Bible stories and Lutheran teachings as they participate in the mission God has given us in baptism. The younger children meet together to learn bible stories, play games and participate in related activities. Many volunteers, teachers, and leaders, guided by Rev. Abdulmasih, work together to teach the children.
Adult Study
Adult Study. The adults in our congregation are the mentors and serve as an example to our young people. There are opportunities for adults to stretch their understanding of God’s word and involve themselves in meaningful study of what it means to be a Christian in our world today. Adult Bible study meets every Thursday morning at 10:15 a.m. Typically we work our way through an in-depth study of books of the bible, but we have also read other books related to faith and discussed them. We are open to other ideas. Other adult studies are held on Sundays as scheduled and touch on a variety of topics such as worship, art history and the bible, and other topics related to faith. Please see the calendar for the current offering. Contact: Rev. Rani Abdulmasih

Prayer Ministry
Prayer Ministry Our prayer ministry is a great support to many people. Every Sunday, prayer requests of our members and friends are shared during Worship. If you or someone you know is in need of prayer please contact us. Prayer can give you the spiritual uplifting that can help you through the hardest of times. Contact Nneka Owens
Quilters meet twice monthly to design and sew quilts that support Lutheran World Relief. The quilts are distributed all over the world to those in need. We also do other outreach activities with the youth and members of our church at various times throughout the year. We are always looking for more opportunities to serve our neighbors. Holiday Giving Program
Often Holidays are difficult for families who are experiencing job loss or have lower income. Each year, we sponsor area youth in various ways by choosing a family organization to support, then purchasing clothing, winter outerwear, and toys for a child in need as identified by our chosen partner. Sometimes we are even able to sponsor an entire family! Contact Church Office
Food Pantry
Food Pantry The Food Pantry operates out of Christus Victor every Thursday between 1:00-3:00pm. This service provides preselected nonperishable items to families and individuals who may not be able to afford food and personal care items on a regular basis. During the summer our Pre-K children provide additional fresh veggies from their youth garden! We are continually trying to expand our Food Pantry program in order to serve more families. To donate items or refer a family in need, please contact our office. Contact Richard and Mary Ann Garza – Church office

God calls us to be good stewards of what he provides. God gives us gifts and in turn we use these gifts to support our community. There are countless ways to use our time and talents to serve others. Our gifts of money and time support the ministries at Christus Victor, the staff, and maintain a safe and comfortable building for our congregation and our Learning Center.Contact Valinda Vincent @
